i do not have the words to adequately describe how i felt after watching this...
i remember someone on my flist commenting on how all band DVDs should be like this and i agree wholeheartedly. you just feel so much closer to the band after seeing this. srsly. omg, watching the portions where you see gerard just sinking further and further down are absolutely heart-wrenching, it hurt for me to watch it. BUT THEY PUT IT THERE FOR EVERYONE TO SEE. dude. no holds barred and truthfully, it amazed me. my respect for them after watching gerard pull himself out of that and how the band stuck with him and omglittlebrothermikeyway is just cool.
okay, so i obviously have some words, lol, but none that are worthy really...but i did make note of a few things that made me giggle/squee/aww:
1. Ghostbuster famous - Frank Iero how i love thee.
2. oh, the first glimpses of I Don't Love You - ::happy sigh::
3. the people behind this band are fuckin' FANTASTIC - Aaron, the Benson dude (omg. how cool was he?) and Brian - their enthusiasm makes me wish i did that kind of stuff. srsly.
4. the presentation of the gold records? ray with his 'where's my phone, where's my phone' excitement? mikeyway sounding like he's about to cry? guh.
5. bob bryar and his anti-camera slaps are fuckin' Hi-LAre-eee-Us.
6. i still stand by stance of Ray Toro being the sweetest guy ON THE PLANET.
7. Frank Iero's laugh. i...just. ::flails::
okay, okay, i'm going to stop now because i have already surpassed what i actually wrote down and just keep remembering things to list...
...so tell me what you thought about LotMS!

Date: 2007-05-04 08:44 pm (UTC)I just watched this again on Wednesday night while straightening my hair and just. I don't have words for how this makes me feel. The first time I watched it I was so in love it was incredible. Just all full up of warmth and happiness and utter gratefulness that these guys exist and I STILL get that feeling when I watch it, now. You really do feel so close to them and there are times when I'm watching that I want to cry or, like, crawl into the tv and just hug them, all of them (but mostly Gerard because watching his downward spiral is so painful but he's so matter-of-fact about it, they all are, and it's absolutely fucking inspiring). I want to thank them not just for me but for all the people whose lives they've saved and I can't even. Gah.
Also, YES to all of your little points, especially ALL OF THEM. Mostly 2, though. I always get misty-eyed and warm-hearted when I hear Gerard singing that early version of I Don't Love You.
*FLAILS ALL OVER*
