I opened my bandom_hc file and have approx 8300 words, out of which about 7000 are still actual fic/still usable. Thus, I only actually need about 3-4000 words to complete this thing for bandombigbang Wave 1.

Definitely doable. Especially with all the notes on new scenes I've added in the past couple of days.

Why does it seem that writing comes easily to some people?


Regardless, I did get nearly 1600 words on paper (figuratively) and good starts on both help_haiti fics as well as a Brendon excerpt for a minori ad maius so I'll take it as a win.


Seriously though, I want to write. Why is it so hard? /grumpy

man, i only posted four fics in 2009, but i'm extremely happy with the quality of each one of those.

2009 was the first year i tried a remix and that was awesomely stressful, but so much fun in the end and hopefully i will get to do it again in 2010.

this last year saw the longest thing i'd ever written and another failed attempt at NaNoWriMo. but my list of WIPs isn't ridiculous and totally doable and i'm trying getyourwordsout to help me finish up everything in 2010.

i'm contemplating doing a weekly post thing for one of my WIPs. for another, maybe posting what i have and letting you guys decide whether it's worth completing.

also! rough, rough draft of fic done. i'm tired, so i'll do the read-through/quickie rewrite in the morning (hopefully).

not that y'all care, i know, but this is how half my writing goes:

-put words on paper, sometimes complete sentences, usually extremely simple

-rewrite, expand simple sentences into crappier longer sentences

-self beta, changes sentences structure, paragraph structure, makes a billion notes in the margins

-rewrite, change everything from the beta read through

-self beta again, another billion notes in the margins, decides to go back to the first way again

-rewrite, changes everything AGAIN


yeah, ugh. seriously you guys, i have at least 4 separate print-out rewrites on paper alone. THIS ONE, ON THE COMPUTER, IS THE LAST I SWEAR. one of these days this thing will actually go to beta *siiiiigh* but at least i'm working on it again.

it's just funny because the other half the time, this shit doesn't happen and i like what i completely wrote out the first time. idgit :(

oh yeah, spoiler for snippet if you care, btw. and all my WIPs, lol.
