I'm sure you've heard of them, but have you tried Tokio Hotel's English Album, Scream? Some good stuff on there. If not that, I always like P!nk.

This is exactly the kind of poppy tambourine indie that I cannot get enough of lately.

Great Lake Swimmers - Ongiara
These guys are a Canadian band, folky and awesome. It's my go-to rainy-summer-day CD.

Also, "Backstage With The Modern Dancers" always makes me want an AU where Brendon's got this unrequited crush on Keltie and she thinks he's gay so she invites him to hang out backstage one night. He makes up love songs on his guitar while she puts on her makeup, and at some point she looks in her mirror and their eyes meet and she smiles at him and Brendon totally fumbles a chord, and it's a horrible noise, but she turns in her chair and then stands, walks over, and kisses him right on his hairline. IDK IDK, I just love forehead kisses and unrequited crushes.
