i can't remember who it was on my flist yesterday, but they said they'd really like the next album to be a stripped down version of more stuff similar to pretty.odd. I AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY.

Speaking of Northern Downpour, I love this performance of it. Brendon's voice is absolutely amazing here.

I was listening to the alternate version of Behind the Sea last night thinking that I'd like to see Ryan Ross perform that song, just him and a guitar (although, probably Brendon would play the guitar, because Ryan would get too nervous and mess up the playing part).

I completely agree. I'd love to hear more singing from people other than Brendon though. I know a lot of people said that Ryan sang too much, but I think that's total bull. I think his voice is lovely, and if Jon's Farewell Night stuff is anything to go off of, his voice isn't bad either.

I just want them to keep making music forever. Is that too much to ask, Shai? IS IT?

I haven't heard the alternate version of Northern Downpour (mostly because I've been attempting to work myself to death). I love the simple musicality of Pretty. Odd. I think it shows so much more range in all of their abilities than AFYCSO. Personally I'm rooting for a stripped down PATD third album, and Brendon doing an indie folk solo project.
