I honestly want to get that lyric tattooed on my body, and have since I first heard that song. It is totally, like, 95% of my life in a song lyric.

yeah, it's. just. ugh. and probably my favorite lyrics off the entire album. along with i thought i loved you/it was just how you looked in the light...which i'm still trying to figure out why that one catches me so. more ugh.

i don't know what lyrics i'd get, if anything, i'd probably lean towards i won't go down by myself/but i'll go down with my friends because. yeah. i kinda adore that line also.

My inner English major loves all of Hum Hallelujah. That line especially because it's so contradictory. It's a gorgeous lyric and I think most people just sing along and really don't get the underlying meaning. It's almost an insult ya know?
