so, i can't install the windows 7 copy that i got from a friend because apparently i have a 32-bit version of Vista installed. which means i'd need my os installation cd to upgrade to that first. but hey, guess what? i got my laptop from rent-a-center and they didn't give me any software because it was already installed. argharghargh.


...so, i don't really want to pay $80 for a vista upgrade. if i can't get anywhere with the rental company, anybody got a hack version of vista with a 64-bit option i can gank? :D

The 86x version of the 7 upgrade works on 32-bit machines.
