*sigh*...i just fell in love...
Nov. 25th, 2004 07:46 pmokay, so turkey day was friggin' fantastic, turkey, mashed potatoes, ham, yams, green bean casserole, rolls, etc...and the pie!...cherry cream cheese, apple, and pumpkin...man i love thanksgiving...
so, mom and me and my bro are just sitting in the living room watching the tube, when a movie comes on...it's the live action version of Peter Pan that came out in the last year or so...well, i hadn't had any real want to see it (mostly 'cuz the Disney version has always been enough for me *is diehard disney fan, btw*)...but after watching this version, well....my subject line says it all...
the boy that played peter was, just...i don't have words to describe him really, the perfect blend of innocence and darkness and just plain beautiful he was...the movie itself was highly intriguing, leaning more towards Grimm's fairy tales than disney at times...which, of course, is one of the reason's i loved it...and the chemistry between peter and wendy was just so perfect, you could see the connection between their characters...and the ending is just so bittersweet..."to live would be a great adventure"...i mean so much given and lost for one dream...i dunno, it just breaks my heart at the same time it fills me with joy...
okay, i know i'm rambling now, but i just wanted to let people know what a wonderful movie this was and i highly recommend it to everyone, children and adults alike...
to live is a great adventure, and holding on to your youthful innocence may be hard at times but well worth the effort...or so sayeth the 29-year old whose favorite movie is still The Goonies (don't get me started on that, lol...)
