This was beautiful & heartbreaking. For some reason, I've managed to come across the most painful fics recently written in the space of one morning, & so am feeling a pit of despair & angst gnawing away in my hollow chest.
That was an exaggeration.
Really -- a beautiful piece of writing. Subtle, understated, emotional.
